/// Intro

+ Alright ladies and gentlemen, today's DIY is on N2MB's WOT Box. For those that don't know about this product, N2MB has done a fantastic job with coming up with the ONLY 2-Step for VW's and Audi's, not to mention the Wide Open Throttle shifting as well.

To explain the WOT box in short:

2-Step Launch Control: modulates the ignition by cutting power to individual ignition coils to hold the RPM you want to launch at. The Turbo will then spool up a bit, and you can launch while already in boost!

No-Lift Shifting(WOT Shifting): makes no-lift shifting easy by cutting your engine's ignition for a very short period while you no-lift shift. No-lift shifting is when you have your foot to the floor in any gear, push the clutch in to shift, while keeping you foot on the gas. The ignition cut allows the synchros in your transmission to mesh easily, reducing the chance of missing a gear and damaging your transmission. Keeping your foot down through the shift also allows you to hold boost through the shift, thereby significantly improving your E.T.

First things first, make sure you have the right tools for this project, here's a brief list of tools needed:

-WOT Box(Wiring harness, USB to serial adapter, zip ties, ground lug)
-10mm socket and wrench
-Torx bits (http://www.mytoolstore.com/sk/84213.jpg)
-Soldering Gun
-Wire cutters
-Wire tubing (optional)
-Wire Tap (http://www.midterminc.com/media/5602.gif)
-Screw Driver
-Pliers

Don't forget to print this DIY before you start! Print a set of the instructions from n2mb.com as well.

Once you have everything you need for tools, let's get started!
